The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is responsible for providing public healthcare services to the people of the Western Cape province. We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team as a Clinical Programme Coordinator.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: A Basic R425 qualification (Diploma or Degree in Nursing) or an equivalent qualification that allows you to register with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
  • Professional Registration: Current registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of professional nursing experience after registering with SANC.
  • Driver’s License: A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence. You must be willing to drive government vehicles, including mobile clinics, and travel for outreach purposes.

We are looking for a candidate with the following strengths:

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Management: Strong skills in planning, organizing, mentoring, and solving problems. You should be confident in making decisions and resolving conflicts.
  • Teamwork: The ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, even in high-pressure environments.
  • Technical Knowledge: A deep understanding of nursing practices, ethical standards, the Nursing Act, and Department of Health policies.
