About the Role
The Contract Representative will monitor the progress of cable build and maintenance contracts across the Telkom network. The role involves coordinating materials, managing project documentation, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary site surveys and prepare RFMs.
- Source and oversee delivery of catalogue and non‑catalogue materials.
- Maintain accurate records of material usage and storage.
- Obtain acceptance certificates and monitor reinstatements.
- Prepare final quality control reports and submit completion documents.
- Arrange final payments and balance job accounts.
- Receive and interpret orders, prioritise tasks, and coordinate activities.
- Perform initial site visits, quantity surveys, and cost estimates.
- Notify residents, issue work permits, and manage wayleaves.
- Document daily progress, compile snag lists, and conduct inspections.
- Investigate customer complaints and assist contractors with problem solving.
- Analyse access network records and submit findings to stakeholders.
- Maintain and service equipment, vehicles, and tools.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with contractors, customers, and authorities.

Qualifications
Education: NQF 3 (Grade 10) with relevant modular training or NQF 4 (Grade 12).
Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Special Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight.
- Availability 24 hours a day.
Physical Requirements
- Work at heights.
- Work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
