Job Purpose

The primary goal of this role is to manage and coordinate major IT system changes. You will ensure that all updates and deployments are rolled out to the production environment in a controlled way that does not disrupt business operations.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Option 1: A National Diploma or Advanced Certificate (NQF 6) in Information Technology, with 2 to 3 years of experience in ICT Change and Release Management.
  • Option 2: A Senior Certificate (Matric / NQF 4) with at least 5 years of experience in ICT Change and Release Management.

In both cases, at least 1 to 2 years of experience should be at a specialist or knowledge-worker level.

Key Responsibilities

Process and Operations:

  • Gather data and create detailed reports with recommendations for your department.
  • Monitor systems and procedures to identify trends and potential risks.
  • Ensure all work follows official policies, standards, and legal requirements.
  • Plan and schedule activities to improve service quality and delivery.
  • Manage procedural changes and provide guidance to team members on new requirements.

Governance and Risk:

  • Follow all governance and compliance rules.
  • Identify and report any risks or violations of standard procedures.
  • Ensure all completed work meets legislative and internal audit standards.

People and Collaboration:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and team members.
  • Consistently evaluate your own performance and seek opportunities for professional growth.

Customer Service and Finance:

  • Provide excellent support to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Follow company policies to ensure cost-effectiveness and reduce unnecessary spending.
