The Role
This position focuses on the health and welfare of animals, particularly those in service roles. You will be responsible for overseeing veterinary care, managing wellness programs, and supervising staff to ensure the highest standards of animal health are maintained.
Requirements
- A relevant three-year tertiary qualification, such as a National Diploma, Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc), Veterinary Nursing, or an equivalent degree.
- At least five years of experience in a veterinary environment.
- At least two years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience working with large animals and working dogs (such as police, military, or service animals) is preferred.
- Must be registered with the South African Veterinary Council.
- Strong diagnostic and surgical skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- A clean criminal record.
- Must be physically fit and able-bodied.
