About the Role
The Crew Controller is responsible for managing the daily allocation of crew resources to meet the flight schedule. This role ensures that crew rosters are accurate, compliant with all regulations, and adjusted promptly for any schedule changes. The position also handles accommodation, travel arrangements, and supports the Operations Control Centre during irregular operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily crew allocation to meet flight schedule requirements.
- Maintain the published roster, ensuring strict adherence to crew scheduling rules and regulations.
- Monitor and reorganise the crew roster in the operations management system as needed.
- Arrange accommodation, car hire, and hotel bookings for crew members.
- Support the OCC during irregular operations following internal work instructions, CATS, CARS, and the Operations Manual.
- Perform daily checks as per the work instruction.
- Ensure all crew duties are completed before the end of the shift.
- Monitor crew sign‑on times and communicate proactively to minimise delays.
- Assist with ad‑hoc duties and product support as required.
- Follow the SFR338 Work Instruction for Crew Control.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent (essential).
- Minimum of 3 years’ aviation experience (essential).
- Previous rostering or training planning experience (essential).
- Experience with AIMS or similar roster management systems (advantageous).
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, including early morning sign‑ons and late evening sign‑offs.
