About the Role

The Data Processing Clerk will collect safety data, enter it accurately into safety management systems, and keep all safety records organized and archived. This role supports the Safety Department at South Deep Gold Mine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in safety campaigns and events as required.
  • Follow work instructions, targets, and processes to ensure high quality and safety.
  • Record safety incidents and other relevant information promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain data integrity in safety systems according to company policies and ISO standards.
  • File and organize incident reports and related records daily.
  • Assist with general administrative duties as assigned.
  • Keep office housekeeping practices in line with South Deep’s safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of administration experience, preferably in a mining safety department.
  • Working knowledge of Isometrix, Syncromine, or another safety management system.
  • Medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk‑based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre.
  • Pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test and any other required assessments.
  • Attach all relevant certificates to your CV for shortlisting.

  • Proven personal safety record.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Typing proficiency and ability to capture data accurately and efficiently.
  • Attention to detail when handling large transactional volumes.
  • Computer literacy and competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
