Job Title: Deputy Director: Human Capital Investment & Research

Role Overview

The successful candidate will lead the implementation of the Limpopo Human Capital Investment Strategy. You will be responsible for building partnerships, coordinating skills development initiatives, and working closely with educational institutions and industries to grow the province’s workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the coordination and implementation of the Limpopo Human Capital Investment Strategy (LHCIS).
  • Lead provincial skills development initiatives and build strategic partnerships.
  • Organize and manage sector-specific coordination meetings and workshops.
  • Facilitate collaboration between SETAs, higher education institutions, and various industries.

Requirements

  • A National Senior Certificate plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Business Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Human Resource Development, Human Capital Investment, or working with SETAs.
  • At least three (3) years of experience must be at an Assistant Director or Junior Management level.
  • A valid driver’s license (except for applicants with disabilities).

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Leadership: Strong strategic capability, team management, and empowerment skills.
  • Management: Proficiency in financial management, project management, and strategic planning.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
  • Analytical: Strong problem-solving abilities, policy analysis, and knowledge management.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of skills development laws and procedures in both the private and public sectors.
