About the Role

The Limpopo Department of Social Development is committed to transforming society by building conscious and capable citizens through integrated social development services. We are seeking a professional Deputy Director for Organisational Development to help improve our departmental efficiency and structure.

Key Performance Areas

As the Deputy Director, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and developing an efficient organizational structure.
  • Coordinating the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Creating strategies to improve business processes and overall efficiency.
  • Reviewing job descriptions and coordinating job evaluation processes.
  • Assessing organizational productivity and functionality across the department.
  • Leading change management initiatives.
  • Compiling detailed reports on the progress and impact of development initiatives.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: An NQF Level 6 qualification (or equivalent) in Management Services, Production Management, Operations Management, or Industrial and Organisational Psychology.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years at a Junior or Middle Management level.
  • License: A valid driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities).
  • Added Advantage: A Job Evaluation (JE) Certificate as a Job Analyst.

Knowledge and Skills

We are looking for a candidate with the following competencies:

  • Leadership: Strong strategic capability, project management, and people empowerment skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with public service governance, legislation, and work study techniques.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience using Org-Plus, Bizagi Modelling, Microsoft Visio, and standard office software.
  • Professional Skills: Excellent communication, report writing, policy analysis, and interpersonal skills.
  • Personal Attributes: High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a focus on customer service.
