Design Artisan: Engineering Accessories (Durban)

Role Overview
In this position, you will report to the Assistant Manager of Product Evaluation. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare, drive, service, and maintain durability vehicles. Please note that shift work and overtime are mandatory requirements for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing: Follow all test procedures with high accuracy.
- Reporting: Complete daily technical check sheets and communicate vehicle issues to management clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Prepare, service, assemble, and disassemble passenger and light commercial vehicles.
- Diagnostics: Perform logical fault-finding and troubleshooting on various vehicle systems.
- Teamwork: Work effectively within a diverse team environment and maintain focus during long periods of testing.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: An N3 qualification with a Petrol or Diesel Trade Test and 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience; OR an N2 qualification with a Petrol or Diesel Trade Test and 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience.
- Driving License: A valid Code B license held for at least 5 years.
- Safety: Strong knowledge of workshop safety practices.
- Preferred Skills: Advanced driver training and a clean, accident-free driving record are significant advantages.
