Role Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced legal professional to join our team as the Director for Contract Advisory and Management. This role requires a combination of strategic legal expertise and strong managerial skills to oversee contract-related services and administrative functions within the municipality.
Appointment Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: An LLB degree or a relevant three-to-four-year tertiary qualification (degree or national diploma) in the legal field.
- Professional Standing: Must be an Admitted Attorney or Advocate.
- Experience: At least nine years of professional experience in a legal environment, with a minimum of four years in a managerial role.
- Licensing: A valid Code B driving license.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Clearance: Must be willing to undergo a criminal record check and provide fingerprints for clearance purposes.
Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead and manage the following functions:
- Directing contract advisory services and administrative operations.
- Managing departmental reception and office administration services.
- Overseeing specialized typing, computer operations, and document management.
- Coordinating operational logistics for the department.
- Executing high-level official secretarial and management duties.
