Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A SAQA-recognized qualification (NQF level 7) in Tourism Management, Economics, Financial Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an appropriate field at a Middle or Senior Management level.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Director of Enterprise Development and Transformation, you will provide strategic leadership and ensure all projects align with departmental goals. Your main duties will include:

1. Digital and Information Management

• Oversee the growth of the enterprise information portal and online training programs.
• Manage call center services and source new content to keep the portal updated.
• Form partnerships with third parties to improve digital services.
• Monitor and analyze portal usage to improve user experience.

2. Market Access and Support

• Coordinate market access training and opportunities for emerging tourism businesses.
• Facilitate partnerships between small enterprises and larger trade opportunities.
• Identify tourism hubs and provide business opportunity analysis for small businesses (MSMEs).
• Manage business incubation programs and develop long-term growth plans for supported enterprises.

3. Financial and Technical Instruments

• Design and lead the implementation of financial incentives and technical support tools for MSMEs.
• Develop equipment support and capital incentive programs to help small businesses grow.

4. Strategic Partnerships and Awareness

• Lead national awareness campaigns for the Enterprise Development Programme.
• Establish and manage partnerships with external organizations through formal agreements (MoUs).
• Ensure all departmental resources are managed effectively to reach strategic objectives.
