Job Purpose

We are seeking a qualified and competent professional for a Senior Management position. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of our higher education and training programmes.

Minimum Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree (NQF 7) in Higher Education, Agricultural Management, or Agricultural Science.
  • At least 5 years of experience in middle or senior management within the agricultural or higher education sectors.
  • A valid driver’s license (or alternative transport for persons with disabilities).
  • Successful completion of the Senior Management Pre-entry Programme (SMS) before appointment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage line functions for higher education and training.
  • Oversee strategic management and organizational change.
  • Direct financial and people management, including student affairs.
  • Supervise the design, development, and delivery of innovative, industry-relevant academic programmes.
  • Manage client services and engage with key industry stakeholders.

Required Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of legislation, regulatory frameworks, and policies related to higher education.
  • Experience in developing higher education training policies.
  • Strong skills in strategic planning and leadership.
  • Expertise in people management and staff development.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A solid understanding of higher education governance and accreditation processes.
