Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 7) in Public Management, Developmental Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience at a middle or senior management level within a relevant field.
  • Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Public Service Act and Regulations, the NPO Act, the Companies Act, and the Social Development sector.

Key Responsibilities

As the Director of NPO Funding Coordination, your primary duties will include:

  • Policy Development: Creating and reviewing frameworks, policies, and tools used to fund NPOs and partner organizations.
  • Financial Management: Managing the transfer of funds to NPOs in accordance with government regulations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinating partnerships and communicating with stakeholders regarding funding matters.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Developing systems and tools to track the performance of funded organizations and ensuring accurate reporting on service delivery.
  • Operational Management: Overseeing the Directorate’s budget and human resources to ensure the department meets its goals.
