Job Opportunity: Driver (Bethal)

AFGRI Equipment is a leading supplier of agricultural, golf, and turf equipment across Africa and Western Australia. We pride ourselves on providing world-class brands and exceptional service. We are currently looking for a professional and reliable Driver to join our team in Bethal, Mpumalanga.

Role Overview

In this position, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining company vehicles to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of stock to various outlets and customers. You will play a vital role in our logistics chain, ensuring that our products reach their destination on time and in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle the professional delivery and distribution of stock and equipment.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
  • Assist with the loading and offloading of goods.
  • Maintain accurate daily logbooks and report any incidents or delays to management.
  • Help with stock counts and ensure all items on the vehicle are well-managed.

Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a heavy vehicle driver. Experience within the agricultural industry is a plus.
  • Licensing: A valid Code 10 (C1) Driver’s License with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in using GPS and reading maps.
  • Good understanding of local routes and the surrounding environment.
  • Basic knowledge of farming products and activities.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
