Role Purpose

We are looking for a reliable Code 10 Driver to join our team. The main goal of this role is to ensure that goods are delivered to our customers accurately, safely, and on time. You will be responsible for maintaining your vehicle, managing delivery paperwork, and providing friendly service to everyone you interact with.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to all customers and staff.
• Complete daily trip sheets, including mileage and arrival times.
• Perform daily safety inspections on the vehicle to ensure it is roadworthy.
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to your supervisor immediately.
• Supervise truck assistants and ensure they remain with the vehicle during shifts.
• Plan the most efficient delivery routes to save time.
• Verify that all outgoing stock matches the delivery documentation.
• Ensure all stock is delivered in perfect condition.
• Keep an accurate logbook for all stock transfers between branches.
• Assist with stock-taking and other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Matric certificate preferred.
• Experience: At least 3 years of professional driving experience. (Candidates without Matric will be considered if they have 3+ years of experience and a valid license).
• License: Valid Code 10 Driver’s License (a higher code is an advantage).
• Permit: Valid Public Driving Permit (PDP) for goods and passengers.
• Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Physical Ability: Ability to understand vehicle loading and handle the pressure of a busy environment.
• Attributes: Punctual, reliable, and focused on customer satisfaction.
