Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transport of goods or passengers and the general upkeep of company vehicles. Your duties will include:
- Operating company vehicles safely and professionally at all times.
- Conducting vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure the vehicle is in good working order.
- Strictly following all traffic laws and road regulations.
- Loading and unloading items from the vehicle as required.
- Keeping the vehicle clean and organized, both inside and out.
- Maintaining clear communication with supervisors and dispatchers for updates and instructions.
- Keeping accurate logs of mileage, vehicle maintenance, and deliveries.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- A valid driver’s license for light vehicles.
- A clean driving record.
- Previous professional driving experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of local roads and routes in the Johannesburg area.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
