We are currently seeking a dedicated Driver Operator for a re-advertised position within the Waterberg District.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating specialized machinery and ensuring the safe transportation of goods and personnel. Primary duties include:
- Operating specialized equipment and vehicles safely.
- Loading and unloading goods, materials, and equipment.
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance to report and fix defects.
- Maintaining accurate vehicle logbooks and trip authorizations.
- Ensuring all safety and precautionary measures are followed at all times.
- Cleaning and lubricating machinery and equipment.
- Assisting with road maintenance, including grading gravel roads and shoulder maintenance.
- Transporting work teams and materials to various sites.
- Identifying and repairing minor mechanical issues, such as checking oil levels, fuel, tires, and water.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Grade 10 (NQF level 3), ABET, AET, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- License: A valid driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in driving and operating specialized equipment.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Deep knowledge of operating specialized machinery.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Basic literacy (ability to read and write).
- Good eyesight and physical fitness.
- The ability to interpret operating manuals, maintenance charts, and technical instructions.
- A proactive approach to vehicle safety and inspection.
