Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- A Grade 12 certificate or an N3 in Electrical Engineering.
- An N6 in Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of electrical tools and equipment.
- The ability to perform minor electrical repairs.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and safe working procedures.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
As an Electrician Assistant, your daily tasks will include:
- Managing and carrying hand tools required for various tasks.
- Cleaning motor control circuit (MCC) rooms and maintaining tidy work areas after job completion.
- Assisting with electric motor testing and cable jointing.
- Conducting electrical inspections at plants and pump stations.
- Identifying and reporting any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Strictly adhering to all health and safety regulations.
