About the Department

The mission of the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport is to provide a safe, integrated, and affordable road transportation system. The department focuses on constructing, maintaining, and repairing the provincial road network to ensure accessibility and mobility for all citizens.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or BSc Eng).
• Professional Registration: Must be registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
• Experience: At least three (3) years of post-qualification engineering experience.
• License: A valid Code B driver’s license.
