Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Internal Audit, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of management experience.
- Must be an independent external professional with no current ties to the department.
- Extensive knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, ISO31000, King IV Report on Corporate Governance, and the Public Sector Risk Management Framework.
- Previous experience serving as a Chairperson or member of a Risk Management Committee, Audit Committee, or similar oversight body.
- Proven expertise in Enterprise Risk Management, Auditing, Financial Management, Information Technology, and Corporate Governance.
- Experience in Performance Management, Project Management, Compliance, Ethics, and Business Continuity Management.
- Experience working within a communications environment is a significant advantage.
