Key Responsibilities

  • Process daily cashbook entries for multiple bank accounts.
  • Prepare and complete daily bank reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve banking discrepancies.
  • Record receipts, payments, and petty cash transactions accurately.
  • Reconcile point‑of‑sale (POS) transactions to bank deposits.
  • Assist in preparing monthly cash‑flow updates and reports.
  • Support the Finance team with audit queries and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate filing and digital record‑keeping of all cashbook documentation.
  • Perform other finance administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Currently studying toward or recently completed a N6 Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (debits, credits, reconciliations).
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Good Excel skills (VLOOKUP, basic formulas, pivot tables beneficial).
  • Exposure to accounting software (Sage experience is a plus).
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet daily deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the finance function.
