Role Purpose

As a Financial Advisor Assistant, you will support the advisory team by managing administrative tasks, researching financial products, and maintaining strong relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and Recommendations: Compare financial products and analyze insurance options to help create the best proposals for clients.
  • Document Preparation: Create and update reports, presentations, and other documents using Microsoft Office.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain databases and departmental systems to ensure the Employee Benefits team operates smoothly.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Communicate with customers via phone and email to build new relationships and support existing ones.
  • Account Management: Assist with daily tasks on client accounts and help resolve complex customer inquiries.
  • Data Management: Keep the CRM system updated with accurate client information and schedule follow-up actions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work follows company policies and financial industry regulations.
  • Performance: Meet specific targets regarding talk time, sales, and service quality.

Requirements

Education and Certifications:

  • Grade 12 / Matric (Essential).
  • 120 FAIS Credits (NQF5) in Wealth Management (Essential).
  • RE5 Certification (Essential).
  • Class of Business (COB) qualification (Essential).
  • NQF6 in Wealth Management, CFP, or a Finance-related degree (Advantageous).

Experience:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience as a Paraplanner or Advice Assistant (Essential).
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in client-facing customer service or business development (Essential).
  • Experience in the health or medical aid industry (Advantageous).

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends.
