Primary Responsibilities

As the Functional Head, your main tasks will include:

• Managing personnel and overseeing general team functions.
• Developing, maintaining, and updating the municipality’s delegation system.
• Monitoring and ensuring that all departments comply with established delegation rules.
• Providing guidance and training to staff regarding the delegation of authority.
• Conducting regular reviews and preparing reports on system performance.
• Supporting leadership by ensuring that decision-making authority is placed at the appropriate levels to speed up internal processes.
• Ensuring the delegation system improves overall operational efficiency.

Appointment Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• A three-year degree or national diploma in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field of study.
• At least six years of professional experience in a strategic support environment.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role (this will be considered an advantage).
• A valid Code B driver’s license.
• Proficiency in using computers and standard office software.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal record check and provide fingerprints.
