Program Overview

We are offering a 12-month Learnership program: National Certificate in Gaming Technical & Floor Assistant (NQF Level 3). This program is designed to provide unemployed individuals with the skills and workplace exposure needed to succeed in the gaming industry. Successful candidates will gain a recognized qualification and practical experience.

What You Will Do

As a learner, you will learn to provide excellent service and maintain our gaming floor. Your duties will include:

• Greeting guests with a friendly smile and assisting them with queries.
• Cleaning, testing, and servicing gaming equipment, such as slot machines, kiosks, and displays.
• Replacing minor components and ensuring all gaming tools are in good working order.
• Assisting with equipment moves and setups.
• Keeping the workshop and gaming areas tidy, safe, and organized.

Requirements

To qualify for this learnership, you must meet the following criteria:

• Matric certificate or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
• A valid South African ID.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and move heavy equipment or machinery.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Comfortable working in both smoking and non-smoking environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and self-motivation.

Skills and Competencies

• Eligibility to obtain a gaming license.
• Basic knowledge of gaming components.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Emotional resilience and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information

All appointments are subject to receiving a license from the KZN Gaming Board. Sun International reserves the right not to make an appointment.
