Key Responsibilities

As a General Assistant, you will ensure our customers have an excellent shopping experience and help maintain a well-organized store. Your main duties will include:

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide accurate information about our products and special offers.
• Sales Support: Help customers find what they need and resolve any issues to ensure they leave happy.
• Transaction Handling: Process cash and card payments accurately, issue receipts, and manage refunds or exchanges.
• Stock Management: Receive new deliveries, organize the storeroom, and keep track of inventory levels.
• Merchandising: Keep shelves neatly packed and ensure products are always available for shoppers.
• Maintenance: Clean designated areas like the kitchen and storeroom, and ensure waste is disposed of correctly in the skip bins.
• Safety: Follow all store policies regarding safety, security, and emergency procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Completed Matric.
• Previous experience as a General Assistant or General Worker in a retail environment.
• Must live within 25km of the Sunnydale branch.
• A clear criminal record.
• A positive, friendly attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
