We are currently looking for a motivated General Assistant to join our team in Kwa Guqa, Mpumalanga.

About the Role

As a General Assistant, your primary focus is to provide excellent customer service while maintaining high standards in the store. You will be responsible for stocking shelves, ensuring the store is clean and safe, and assisting customers with their shopping needs.

Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 (Matric) OR Grade 10 (NQF 3) with at least 1 year of related work experience.
• Language: Ability to communicate clearly in English and the dominant local language of the area.
• Documentation: A valid South African ID or a valid work permit.
• Skills: Strong basic calculation skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Flexibility: Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Advise and help customers find the right products for their needs.
• Help resolve customer queries or complaints efficiently.

Merchandising and Store Standards

• Pack and display stock safely according to the store layout and planograms.
• Ensure all items are correctly priced with visible shelf labels.
• Keep your assigned area clean, organized, and free of obstacles.
• Complete daily cleaning checklists for store facilities as required.

Safety and Stock Management

• Follow all safety (OHSA) rules, including using safety gear and ensuring the safety of customers and colleagues.
• Report any safety hazards or store damage to the Manager.
• Monitor and report any damaged stock to minimize losses.
