Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated General Assistant to join our team in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal. In this role, you will be responsible for helping customers, keeping our shelves stocked, and ensuring the store remains clean and safe for everyone.

Key Information

• Job Type: Full Time
• Location: Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal
• Experience: 1 year (or Grade 12 with no experience)
• Education: Matric / Grade 12

What You Will Do

• Customer Service: Greet customers, offer advice on products, and help resolve any queries or complaints.
• Merchandising: Pack stock onto shelves according to the store plan. Ensure all products are displayed safely and have the correct price labels.
• Housekeeping: Keep your assigned area clean and free of obstacles. Ensure that customers can move through the aisles safely and easily.
• Safety: Follow all health and safety (OHSA) rules. Use safety gear where required and report any safety risks to the Store Manager.
• Stock Management: Keep track of stock levels and report any damaged items immediately.

What We Are Looking For

• A Grade 12 (Matric) certificate; OR a Grade 10 certificate with at least one year of work experience.
• Fluency in English and the local language spoken in the Vryheid area.
• Basic math skills to perform calculations accurately.
• A valid South African ID or a valid work permit.
• A hardworking attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
