About the Position
The Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a General Worker. This role is essential for maintaining our facilities and supporting the daily operations of the department in the Vhembe East region.
Key Responsibilities
As a General Worker, your main duties will include:
- Performing general maintenance and cleaning of the premises and surroundings.
- Using and looking after gardening equipment and machinery safely.
- Moving furniture and heavy equipment as required.
- Removing waste, garbage, and empty boxes from the site.
- Assisting with the receiving, loading, and offloading of stock and goods.
- Reporting any lost or damaged equipment to the supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- An ABET Level 2 qualification or an equivalent certificate recognized by SAQA.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills (the ability to read and write).
- Previous experience in a similar field is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and gardening principles.
- The physical ability to perform manual labor and operate basic garden tools.
