We are currently seeking a dedicated General Worker to join our team at the VKB Grain silo in Vrede.

Position Overview

The General Worker supports daily operations at the grain silo. This role is essential for maintaining a safe and efficient environment. Key responsibilities include material handling, cleaning, basic maintenance, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed during the loading and storage of materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of the premises.
• Assist customers and suppliers with the loading and offloading of stock.
• Follow all company policies and procedures regarding stock control.
• Provide excellent customer service during daily interactions.
• Perform ad-hoc duties and general housekeeping tasks as assigned.
• Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety rules.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF4 qualification.
• Physically fit and capable of performing heavy manual labor.
• Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces (training will be provided).
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
• Previous experience in industrial, agricultural, or construction environments is an advantage.
• Strong awareness of safety procedures.
