Job Purpose
To carry out general maintenance work on both developed and undeveloped open spaces, natural resources and facilities. The role aims to improve the quality of the environment for the community.
Appointment
This position is open to all qualified candidates, including African, Coloured, Indian, White, and persons with disabilities.
Requirements
- Basic literacy skills
- Ability to perform general maintenance duties
- Physical fitness and good health with no back problems
- Willingness to work shifts, standby and overtime as required
- Must undergo a criminal record check and allow fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost
- Relevant knowledge or experience in horticultural services is an advantage

Primary Functions
- Conduct general maintenance work at all public open spaces and facilities
- Assist in the development of new facilities and the upgrading of existing ones
- Provide general logistical support as needed
- Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act 85 of 1993)
