About the Opportunity

Glenstantia Primary School is seeking two passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Foundation Phase Intern Teachers. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain invaluable hands-on experience in a supportive educational environment, shaping the academic and personal development of young learners in Grades R to 3.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for Foundation Phase learners.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Teach English and Afrikaans as a First Additional Language proficiently.
  • Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning.
  • Participate actively in the school’s extramural and co-curricular activities.
  • Contribute to the holistic development of each child.

Requirements

  • A recognised REQV14 qualification (4-year Education Diploma or B.Ed in Foundation Phase).
  • Valid registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
  • Advanced proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
  • Proficiency in teaching Afrikaans as a First Additional Language is essential.
  • Strong computer literacy and the ability to use technology in teaching.
  • Willingness to be involved in the school’s full program, including extramural duties.
  • Must be a resident of Pretoria.
  • Must provide a valid police clearance certificate and have no criminal record.
