We are looking for an Assistant Handyman to support the maintenance and repair of our facilities, ensuring all equipment, buildings, and outdoor areas are safe and functional.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and general repairs on buildings, stalls, fences, and other structures.
• Help maintain and repair outdoor arenas, riding tracks, and other facilities used for horse training.
• Perform light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work as needed.
• Monitor and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Assist in keeping indoor and outdoor areas clean and safe.
• Support horse trainers and staff with setup, takedown, and maintenance of training equipment.
• Assist in maintaining the condition of horse stalls, barns, and related areas.
• Respond promptly to urgent repair needs, especially those affecting horse safety or training routines.
• Follow safety standards, including proper handling of tools, chemicals, and machinery.
• Work closely with the lead handyman and other staff to prioritize and manage tasks effectively.

What You Will Bring

• Previous experience in maintenance or a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Experience working in an agricultural, equestrian, or outdoor setting is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness and ability to handle manual labor, including lifting heavy items.
• A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, kneel, bend, and work outdoors for extended periods.
• Perform maintenance tasks that require stamina and focus in all weather conditions.
