About the Role
Coca‑Cola Beverages South Africa is looking for a motivated and agile individual to join our Manufacturing department as an In‑Service Trainee – Processing. The successful candidate will report directly to the Unit Manager – Processing and will be responsible for supporting the syrup room, ensuring quality and compliance with Coca‑Cola’s KORE principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare syrups for production lines.
- Use SAP systems to meet governance and process requirements.
- Monitor and predict system performance and controls.
- Conduct process validations and troubleshoot automation failures.
- Perform specialised quality analyses and record results.
- Identify problems and improvement opportunities, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles.
- Calibrate specialist equipment and support shift‑based teams.
- Conduct quality audits and review analysis procedures.
- Initiate corrective actions from audit findings.
- Support production teams in problem solving and participate in functional forums.
- Assist with training needs analysis and develop training materials.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and regional optimisation projects.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 with Maths or Maths Literacy – Pass 40%
- Two South African languages passed at 40%
- Currently studying towards a National Diploma in Chemical Engineering
- South African citizen
- Employment Equity candidate
- Must not have previously completed the same qualification or learnership elsewhere
- Must have been unemployed at the time of appointment
- Age 18–35 years
Additional Requirements
- Letter from the institution requesting workplace experience for qualification completion.
