Job Purpose

We are looking for an Information Security Officer to provide technical expertise in securing our digital infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and daily management of our information technology security systems to ensure the safety and integrity of municipal data.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation and configuration of IT security systems.
• Administer and maintain security infrastructure to ensure continuous protection.
• Monitor systems for security threats and technical vulnerabilities.
• Provide technical guidance on best practices for information security.

Requirements

• Education: A Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or a related field.
• Certification: A recognized Information Security certificate.
• Experience: At least 4 years of relevant experience in ICT security.
• License: A valid motor vehicle driver’s license.
