About the QCTO

The Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) was established in 2010 to oversee the design, assessment, and certification of occupational qualifications and trades in South Africa. We ensure that vocational training meets the required standards for the national workforce.

Role Purpose

We are seeking one (1) intern to provide essential administrative support to our Accreditation Unit. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance and education administration.

Key Responsibilities

As an intern, you will assist with the following tasks:

  • Review and analyze accreditation applications for qualifications and skills programs.
  • Conduct desktop reviews to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Maintain organized records of all reviews and assessments.
  • Coordinate logistics for site visits and monitoring visits.
  • Consolidate reports from site visits and monitoring activities.
  • Process claims and follow up on documentation for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Support project planning, maintain work plans, and coordinate meetings with stakeholders.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by verifying documentation.
  • Compile monthly and quarterly performance reports.

Requirements

  • Education: A recognized National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or higher.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Communication: Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attitude: A strong willingness to learn, take initiative, and work well within a team.
  • Organization: Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be an unemployed South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Must have no previous experience in an internship program.
  • Preference will be given to applicants residing in the Gauteng Province.
