About the QCTO
The Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) was established in 2010 under the Skills Development Act. Our role is to oversee the design, implementation, and certification of occupational qualifications and trades in South Africa.
Role Purpose
We are looking for two motivated interns to join our Assessment Domain. In this role, you will provide administrative and operational support for the quality assurance of national assessments. You will help ensure that all assessment processes, results, and standards are handled according to QCTO policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture, track, and file assessment-related documentation.
- Assist with processing learner registration and assessment results data.
- Maintain accurate records and registers.
- Help prepare for assessment readiness activities and monitoring.
- Assist in checking the accuracy and completeness of learner achievements.
- Update internal systems and spreadsheets with assessment data.
- Support the team in following assessment policies and meeting deadlines.
Requirements
- Education: A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Education, Curriculum Development, Social Sciences, Quality Management, or Data Analytics.
- Citizenship: Must be an unemployed South African citizen.
- Age: Between 18 and 35 years old.
- Experience: No previous work experience is required.
- Eligibility: You must not have participated in any previous internship program.
- Location: Preference will be given to applicants living in Gauteng.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Basic understanding of education or assessment systems.
- Comfortable working with data, documents, and records.
- Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
