Internship Opportunity: Certification
The Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Certification Intern. Established in 2010, the QCTO plays a vital role in overseeing the design, assessment, and certification of occupational qualifications and trades in South Africa.
Job Purpose
The primary goal of this internship is to provide high-quality administrative support to the QCTO Certification Unit while gaining valuable on-the-job experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track compliance against planning and reporting requirements.
- Schedule meetings and arrange accommodation for staff within the certification unit.
- Receive, document, and distribute incoming files to the relevant parties.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.
- Follow up on documents awaiting management action or approval.
- Prepare professional correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, presentations, and spreadsheets.
- Participate in internal surveys and ensure all work complies with HR, Finance, and Supply Chain policies and timelines.
Educational Requirements
Applicants must possess a recognized National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in one of the following fields:
- Office Administration or Office Management
- Business Administration or Business Management
- Public Administration Management
- Secretarial Studies
- Records, Information, or Document Management
Required Competencies
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A customer-focused and professional attitude.
- Honesty, integrity, and due diligence.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an unemployed South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Must have no prior working experience.
- Must not have participated in any previous internship program.
- Preference will be given to applicants residing in the Gauteng Province.
