Internship: Finance & Admin Clerk

Novus Holdings is one of the largest commercial printing and manufacturing operations in South Africa. Headquartered in Cape Town with a national presence, the Group specializes in high-quality printing and manufacturing for a wide range of paper-based products.

Role Overview

On the Dot Supply Chain Management, a division of Novus Holdings, is seeking a dedicated Finance and Admin Intern to join our Finance Department in Montague Gardens, Cape Town. This 12-month internship is designed for a recent graduate who needs practical work experience and in-service training to kickstart their career in finance.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will support the finance team with various administrative and accounting tasks, including:

  • Verifying the accuracy of reports used for monthly publisher payments.
  • Calculating payments for publishers.
  • Preparing and distributing remittance reports for review.
  • Processing financial transactions within the ERP system.
  • Preparing accounting reconciliations.
  • Compiling documentation for internal and external auditors.
  • Maintaining controls within the publisher settlement process.
  • Assisting the finance team with ad-hoc administrative requests.

Educational Requirements

  • Matric certificate.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma in Finance or Accounting).

Experience and Knowledge

  • A solid understanding of general accounting principles.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Advanced MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent numerical and communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a team.
