Africa’s leading specialist in the manufacturing of premium knitted and woven mattress fabric based in Elsies River Industrial is seeking a Product Development Intern. This internship offers hands‑on exposure to the full product development process within a manufacturing environment. You will learn how development projects are initiated, managed, and integrated into production, while contributing to the continuous improvement of our product range.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Textile Technology, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• Genuine interest in product development, textiles, and the manufacturing process.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to capture, organize, and analyse information accurately.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn through hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage across departments and functions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support key development activities such as product testing.
• Ensure clear specifications are recorded and shared.
• Track project plan from start to end, update and provide feedback on milestones.
