Internship: Project Monitoring
The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) is looking for motivated interns to join our Project Monitoring unit. CETA focuses on developing skills within the construction sector to help the industry grow and remain competitive.
Role Overview
- Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng

What You Will Do
As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting our daily operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling administrative tasks and managing the unit’s records and files.
- Assisting with correspondence and responding to inquiries.
- Supporting the coordination of unit budgets.
- Helping gather data and information for audits and reports.
- Preparing meeting agendas and taking minutes.
- Assisting with the preparation of quarterly presentations.
- Participating in rotational training to learn about different divisions within the department.
What You Will Learn
During your time with CETA, you will develop professional knowledge in:
- The SETA landscape and how public entities operate.
- The laws and regulations governing skills development in South Africa (such as the Skills Development Act and PFMA).
- Practical administrative and project monitoring skills.
Application Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen under the age of 35.
- Hold a valid South African ID.
- Have a relevant post-matric qualification from a recognized institution.
- Have never participated in a SETA internship program before.
- Have no previous formal employment experience.
Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with a National Diploma, BTech, or Degree in:
- Business Management or Project Management
- Public Administration or Business Administration
- Operations Management or a related field
