About the QCTO
The Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) was established in 2010. We oversee the design, assessment, and certification of occupational qualifications and trades in South Africa. Our goal is to ensure high-quality skills development across the country.
Role Overview
We are looking for three interns to join our Quality Assurance unit. The successful candidates will provide administrative support and assist with the accreditation and monitoring of training providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process accreditation applications for occupational qualifications.
- Conduct desktop reviews and participate in site visits to check provider compliance.
- Help prepare reports and recommendations for accreditation approval.
- Maintain accurate records of accreditation status and validity periods.
- Monitor training providers to ensure they meet curriculum, facility, and staffing standards.
- Capture and verify learner enrollment data for public providers.
- Assist with data integrity and reporting cycles.
- Support projects related to lecturer development and monitoring strategies.
- Provide guidance to TVET colleges, CET colleges, and government departments.
- Compile monthly and quarterly quality assurance reports.
Requirements
- A recognized National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or higher.
- Must be an unemployed South African citizen between 18 and 35 years old.
- No previous work experience is required.
- Must have never participated in an internship program before.
- Preference will be given to applicants residing in the Gauteng Province.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think innovatively and solve problems.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
