About the Role
The Construction Education Training Authority (CETA) is looking for motivated interns to join our Supply Chain Management unit. This program is designed to provide graduates with practical experience and exposure to the construction sector’s skills development landscape.
Key Responsibilities
During the internship, you will be involved in various tasks, including:
- Performing entry-level administrative and functional tasks for the unit.
- Managing records, files, and handling general inquiries.
- Supporting the coordination of budgeting processes.
- Assisting with information gathering for audits.
- Collating data and helping prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
- Preparing meeting agendas and taking minutes.
- Developing at least one professional presentation per quarter.
- Participating in rotational planning to gain exposure to different divisions within the department.
What You Will Learn
We aim to help you develop professional competencies in the following areas:
- Knowledge of how CETA and the broader SETA landscape operate as public entities.
- Practical application of theoretical knowledge in Supply Chain Management.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Skills Development Act, PFMA, Tax laws, and BBBEE.
Requirements
To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen under the age of 35.
- Hold a valid South African ID.
- Have a relevant post-matric qualification from a recognized institution.
- Must not have participated in any previous SETA internship program.
- Must not have been previously employed.
Required Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with a degree or diploma in the following fields:
- BCom or National Diploma in Logistics Management
- BCom Accounting
- BCom or National Diploma in Supply Chain Management
- BCom Business Management or an equivalent qualification
