Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen and Guest Experience Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support our kitchen operations while ensuring our guests have a warm and welcoming stay. You will balance food preparation tasks with professional guest interaction to help create a memorable experience at our lodge.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen and Operations

• Assist with basic cooking and food preparation.
• Support daily kitchen workflows and food service.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
• Follow all kitchen safety procedures strictly.
• Ensure prep areas are organized and well-maintained.
• Focus on quality and detail in every dish served.

Guest Interaction and Service

• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Address guest questions and concerns calmly and efficiently.
• Help create a welcoming atmosphere that reflects our company values.
• Support other departments when needed and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Bring positive energy to the lodge environment every day.

Teamwork and Culture

• Work closely with the kitchen and lodge staff to provide seamless service.
• Be flexible and adaptable to changing daily needs.
• Assist colleagues in different departments during busy periods.
• Contribute to a positive and productive team spirit.

Requirements

• Education: Matric Certificate (Required). A basic cooking certificate or short hospitality course is an advantage.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in a kitchen or cooking environment.
• License: Valid Code 8 Driver’s License.
• Skills: Basic computer literacy and excellent communication skills.
