We are currently looking for a Lab Assistant to join our Cytology department at our Cedar Road location.

Role Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Education: You must have successfully completed Grade 12 (Matric).
- Professional Registration: You must be registered with the HPCSA as a Lab Assistant in Cytology.
- Experience: At least one year of experience working as a Lab Assistant in a laboratory environment is required.
- Availability: You must be willing to work specific shifts, which may include Saturdays and Sundays.
Required Skills
- Communication: You must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Mathematics: You should have good basic numerical skills and feel comfortable performing everyday calculations.
- Work Ethic: A focus on accuracy, teamwork, and maintaining a positive laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, your work will directly support the laboratory’s daily operations. Your duties will include:
- Receiving and processing gynecological specimens.
- Preparing cytology samples for testing.
- Performing general laboratory tasks to ensure efficient operations.
- Assisting with administrative work and keeping the workspace clean and safe.
- Helping to maintain strong professional relationships with clients.
- Contributing to a high-performance team culture and participating in learning opportunities.
