Job Overview

We are currently seeking candidates for our Rigger Ropesman Learnership (18.2). This program is designed to develop technical skills within our engineering department while maintaining the highest safety and operational standards.

Requirements

To be considered for this learnership, you must meet one of the following educational criteria:

• N2 Certificate: Must include Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawings, and Rigger Trade Theory.
• National Certificate Vocational (NCV): Level 4 in Engineering and Related Design with at least 40% in all subjects.
• Grade 12: Must include Mathematics, Physical Science, Engineering Graphic Design (Drawings), and relevant Trade Theory with at least 40% in all subjects.

Additional Qualifications:

• Must be declared medically fit to work in the specific business area.
• Must have a clear security screening record.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.
• Previous experience in an engineering environment is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Training and Development: Successfully complete all modules of the learnership program within the required timeframe.
• Safety and Health (SHE): Follow all legal, safety, and health requirements. Use required safety equipment and participate in risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
• Reporting: Create progress reports and communicate any obstacles or ideas for improvement to stakeholders.
• Teamwork: Build positive relationships with colleagues and support team members in completing daily tasks.
• Operational Excellence: Align with international mining principles and focus on safe, efficient production.
