Job Overview

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our Rigger Ropesman Learnership programme. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and technical skills within a world-class engineering environment.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this learnership, you must meet one of the following educational requirements:

  • N2 Qualification: Must include Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawings, and Rigger Trade Theory.
  • NCV Level 4: National Certificate Vocational in Engineering and Related Design with at least a 40% pass mark in all subjects.
  • Grade 12: Must include Mathematics, Physical Science, Engineering Graphics and Design (Drawings), and relevant Trade Theory with at least a 40% pass mark in all subjects.

Additional Criteria:

  • Must be declared medically fit for the specific work area.
  • Must have a clear security record.
  • A valid driver’s license is preferred.
  • Previous experience in an engineering environment will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training: Complete all theoretical and practical modules of the learnership within the required timeframe.
  • Safety: Strictly follow all health and safety (SHE) rules, wear protective equipment, and participate in risk assessments.
  • Reporting: Prepare progress reports and discuss development goals with supervisors.
  • Teamwork: Build positive relationships with colleagues and support the team in daily tasks.
  • Compliance: Follow all company policies, mining standards, and international responsible mining principles.
