About the Programme

Lesaka Technologies is a leading South African fintech company dedicated to providing innovative financial services to underserviced consumers and merchants. We are looking for ambitious, energetic, and target-driven young professionals to join our Sales Internship Programme.

This is not a desk-bound role. You will be out in the field gaining real-world experience, building commercial skills, and learning directly from high-performing sales professionals.

What You Will Do

As a Sales Intern, you will learn the core mechanics of sales success by working directly with our merchants and business owners. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Account Sales Executives in growing the business.
  • Engaging directly with merchants to promote digital payment solutions and prepaid products.
  • Assisting with the onboarding process for new clients.
  • Conducting field visits within your assigned territory.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to help with retention.
  • Learning how to manage sales targets, pipelines, and performance metrics.
  • Participating in professional sales training and development sessions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be between 18 and 29 years old.
  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Currently unemployed.
  • Must hold a Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
  • A Diploma or Degree in Sales, Business Management, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Willingness to travel for field work.
  • A valid driver’s license and your own vehicle are highly beneficial.
