Job Summary
The Lorry Driver will transport personnel, materials and equipment to operational sites across Tshwane. The role requires flexibility, a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned tasks.
- Deliver tools, equipment and supplies to ensure continuous operations on site.
- Adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act 85 of 1993).
- Rotate between operational teams to enhance multi‑skilling.
- Use resources efficiently to achieve cost‑effectiveness.
Requirements
- Grade 10 or equivalent.
- Minimum six months of relevant experience.
- Valid Code EC or C1 driving licence with a valid PrDP.
- Physical fitness and good health.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime and standby periods.
- Ability to relieve in similar positions as required.
- Must undergo a criminal record check and provide fingerprints to the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost.
- Willingness to be posted anywhere in Tshwane as directed.

- Technical skills and willingness to accept responsibility.
- Ability to travel extensively.
- Excellent eyesight.
- Physical fitness.
Compensation
Job Level: T6
Salary Scale: R227 508,00 – R315 984,00 per annum
Estimated Remuneration Package: R322 542,00 – R435 155,00 per annum
