Role Purpose

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our maintenance team. Your primary focus will be to help maintain equipment reliability and stability. By following established safety codes and procedures, you will ensure that our facilities continue to operate efficiently and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections on rotating equipment, including monitoring vibration levels and oil temperatures.
  • Assist with essential maintenance tasks such as lubrication, changing filters, and servicing pumps, compressors, and turbines.
  • Help with general housekeeping and maintenance duties within the workshop or plant area.
  • Accurately document and maintain all inspection and maintenance records.
  • Strictly follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Safely use trade-related hand tools, including drills, grinders, and screwdrivers.
  • Communicate effectively using 2-way radios when performing rigging or maintenance tasks.

Requirements

Formal Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Occupational Trade Qualification or Certificate.

Work Experience and Skills:

  • 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic technical knowledge of rotating equipment and inspection techniques.
  • Familiarity with the operation of pumps, compressors, and turbines.
  • Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team and follow technical instructions accurately.
