Job Purpose
The Manager (Operations) is responsible for planning and controlling waste management services within a specific region. This includes managing domestic, commercial, industrial, and garden waste operations. The goal is to ensure the department runs sustainably, follows all legal regulations and by-laws, and remains efficient enough to compete with private enterprises.
Key Requirements
- Education: A Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Operations Management, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Waste Management, Public Management, Logistics, or a related equivalent qualification.
- Driver’s License: A valid motor vehicle driving license.
- Experience: At least 6 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
